Sri Hanuman Jayanti (April 2, 2007)

With great devotion and enthusiasm  Sri Hanuman Jayanti  festival was celebrated at the Ashram. After early morning prayers and meditation a special pooja and Sri Maruti Yajna was performed. Large numbers of devotees join in this special worship and Sunderkand Parayana, among them were Smt. Bina and Sri. Shreyas Pandya also. On concluding of Yajna, prasad was served to all.

World Health Day (April 6, 2007)

Government of Gujarat organized three days festivity to celebrate World Health Day at Kankariya Sports Ground, Ahmedabad. Health promoting activities were organized including exhibition of health literature for prevention of diseases,  distribution of patient education materials, yoga demonstration,  etc. Respected Sri Ashok Bhatt, Minister of health was present at this function. Sivananda Ashram also joined in the celebration. A spectacular demonstration of yogic postures by a group of yoga teachers of the ashram was remarkable.

Adi Shankaracharya Jayanti

Holy Sri Shankracharya Jayanti was celebrated with great devotion and reverence. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji attended a program at Uvarsad organized by Ashram,( "Shankarlok") of  Revered Sri Swami Ishwarananda Giriji Maharaja of Samvit School of Vedanta Learning, Abu (Rajasthan) ,

Glimpses of  a Play Adi Shankaracharya

At the Sivananda ashram, amateur artist from Palanpur, headed by Prof. Thacker presented a memorable play depicting life and teachings of Sri Shankara. Learned Sanskrit scholar, Prof. Lakshmeshji graced the occasion. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj attended Vedant Samelan at Town Hall organized by Sri Samvit School of Vedanta Learning, Abu (Rajasthan).

Gita Jnana Yajna (April 22, 2007- April 28, 2007)

Ashram organized Gita Jnana Yajna on the subject of Ninth Chapter of Srimad Bhagavat Gita  "Rajvidya Rajguhya Yoga” by H. H. Sri Swami Viditatmanandaji Maharaj. Most Worshipful and Revered Maha Mandaleshwar Sri Swami Satyamitranandaji Maharaj of Sri Bharatmata Mandir, Haridwar and Rev. Sri Bhagavat Rishi a renowned Bhagavat Acharya lit the lamp and gave inaugural discourses and enlightened the devotees. The entire Jnana Yajna was attended by large numbers of devotees of the Lord.

6^th Brahmotsav of Sri Ashtalaxmi Bhavan (April 29, 2007)

On holy 6^th anniversary of Sri Ashtalaxmi Bhavan, a grand Sri Yantra Pooja was organized in the hours of dawn, followed by Sri Navchandi Yajna and concluded by Bhandara (Maha-Prasad) on April 29, 2007. Also, blood donation drive was set up at the ashram and many people donated blood. 

April 30, 2007 to May 3, 2007 morning discourses on the subject of Ashtanga Yoga of Maharshi Patanjali were organized. Rev. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj & Dr. Swami Muktanandaji Maharaj from Alwar,(Rajasthan) addressed a large gathering. At night Sri Bijoy Shivram, a talented dancer and versatile genius presented a dance performance on theme of "Jai Jai Shankara" (Shankaracharya)

Other news

•  On April 20, 2007 Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji was invited for book release function, organized by Samta Vichar Kendra, an offspring of Rashtriya Sevak Sangh. The book brings out the life and work of late Sri Baba Saheb Ambedkar, a veteran patriot of India, at the time of Independence movements of India. He fought for untouchables, Girl's education and against caste system. He was awarded with India's highest regards 'Bharat Ratna".

•  Regular yoga classes, Reiki Seminars and service to the poor and under privileged are the part of  Ashram activities. Also medical consultations and care by experts are provided as needed.

Visit to Mumbai

Yoga Camp at Mumbai (April1, 2007- April 9, 2007)

Honoring sincere invitation of Prempuri Ashram and Sri Vadnagar Nagar Mandal Pujya Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj visited Mumbai. On March 30, 2007, Revered Swamiji was the Chief Guest of  Fund Raising Program for Communitie's Poor Children’s Education Fund and Medical Aid Fund. A renowned artist and a singer Sri Jagjit Singh won the heart of everyone with his melodious music at this function.

From April 1, 2007  to April 9, 2007  Pujya Swamiji conducted Yoga Camp at prince club, Mumbai. In the evening discourses on Sunderkand of Sri Ramcharit Manas by Pujya Swamiji was a special treat for everyone. Smt.Vishaka Pota, president of Vadnagar Nagar Mandal deserves a special thanks for her great efforts to organize these programs for the benefits of all. A famous film Singer Nitin Mukesh attended all discourses and joined for Sri Ramayana singing also.

Sri Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm by devotees of Prempuri Ashram in holy presence of Pujya Swamiji. Sri Haribhai Kothari, a renowned lecturer of Cultural Heritage of India enlightened the devotees with his worlds of wisdom and Nitin Mukeshji brought a special fervor by his Bhakti Sangeet in praise of Sri Rama & Sri Hanuman on this auspicious occasion.

During his stay in Mumbai, Rev. Sri Swamiji Maharaj addressed two big meetings organized by Sri Atul Parikh, Asst. Director of Union Trust of India at Bandra and Colaba, (Mumbai). As always, Sri Swamiji Maharaj was invited by number of devotees and institutions for house visits and Satsangs.

688 Yoga Camp at Deolali (April 11, 2007- April 18, 2007)

Army Cantonment of Deolali is the oldest center having Artillery Training School. About  more than 4000 Army Officials and Soldiers are staying at this campus. Sri Swamiji with Yoga teachers, Dr.Snehal Amin and Ms. Sangeeta Thawani conducted Yogasana Camp at Deolali (Nasik- Maharshtra).

At inaugural speech, Sri Swamiji stressed the need of daily yogic exercises and keeping body fit is essential for Army Troupes. Brig. Dharamadhikari (Brig. for General Operation) learnt yoga from Rev. Swamiji in K- Jat Regiment., Clementon Town, Dehradun, in 1982. Since then, wherever he goes, he keeps on inviting Sri Swamiji Maharaj for teaching yoga to army officials, soldiers & their families.

Two classes were conducted at two different places in the same campus. In the evening Sri Swamiji Maharaj gave series of discourses and shared the message of ancient scriptures for Army and its forces.

 On April 13, 2007, a day of holy Vaishakhee, Sri Swamiji was invited at Holy Sri Gurudwara. With utmost surprise of everyone, Swamiji spoke in 'Gurmukhi Language', the message of Guru Granth Sahib and made everyone happy.

 A memorable yoga demonstration and valedictory function was organized at concluding ceremony on April 18, 2007  at Sahyadri Bhawan, presided by Mrs. and Lieut. Gen. Mr. K. N. Mirji. Mementos and awards were presented to Rev. Swamiji and his assistant yoga team members. Certificates were awarded to all the participants of yoga team who put up a great Yoga Demonstration show.

 During his stay Sri Swamiji Maharaj visited and paid his sincere homage to Lord Sri Trayambakeshwar Mahadev, ( Nashik) and Holy Sri Shirdi Saibaba Dham at Shirdi.
