Pujya Swamiji eats simple yet sattwic food. Normally he eats whatever is offered without making any issue about diet. But the lady of the house never gets satisfied until she serves the Swamiji with the best possible food. keeping that in mind we have offered some suggestions here. There is always some inquiry from the kitchen department like - What should she make for Swamiji? As Swamiji eats meals in different homes every day, some kind of uniformity and balance is desirable.
Very simple food, Low Carb-high protein diet
Include all kinds of softly cooked lentils (more like a soup), Mung, Mung-dal, chana dal, dry split peas (no Tuver dal) etc. with a little salt and minimal to no spices.
Minimal fat as certain cooking requires a little oil
Please include plenty of fresh steamed cooked vegetables like Dudhi (lauki), Turia(ridge gourd), Zucuni, Squash and others. Do not include potatoes, vegan (eggplant) & tomatoes please
Fresh fruits avoid too sweet fruits like grapes
Absolutely no fried food, butter or ghee
Mild spices (for certain cooked foods), no Chilly (black, red or green)
Milk Yogurt Lassi, lemonade etc
No Rice, No Roti, No Bread
