Birth Centenary Celebration of Guru Bhagawan Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj Continues ..........Be a part of the Celebration and Be Blessed

A great momentum has built up of Birth Centenary Celebrations of Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj here at Sivananda ashram, Ahmedabad under the guidance of H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. One after the other the planned programs, satsangs, construction of Chidananda Yoga Bhavan, Jnan Yajana, Yoga & Meditation camps, Medical camp, YTTC, distribution of Sivananda & Chidananda literature - new book release "Prakash Punj", "Chidananda Smruti Pravachan" series at various Divya Jivan branches in India and abroad during Centenary year by Pujya Swami Maharaj, Chidananda Yoga DVD (a new release), Youth programs, Seva projects are going on........And seven days Srimad Bhagawat Katha by H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj on Vyasasan is starting from today as you read this lines.......... It is a rare and a blessed occasion to listen to Srimad Bhagawata from Pujya Swamiji's Maharaj. Daily discourses (3.30 pm to 7.00pm) by Pujya Swamiji from February 29, 2016  and will conclude on  March 6, 2016 with a grand Shivaratri Utsav on March 7, 2016 .  

 Glories of Simad Bhagavata : "The book is named Bhagavata because it speaks of the glory of Bhagavan or Vishnu. It contains the essence of all the Puranas. The Bhagavata Dharma as taught by the nine sages to King Nimi in the beginning of the eleventh Skandha, is thrilling and soul-stirring. The tenth Skandha contains all the Lilas of the Lord. Srimad Bhagawata consists of eighteen thousand Slokas. 

The teachings given by Lord Krishna to Uddhava on the eve of His departure from this world, are wonderful. These are contained in the eleventh Skandha. Sri Krishna clears all the doubts of Uddhava, His friend, foremost disciple and the chief of the Yadavas. He gives instructions on a variety of subjects. But the one ringing note is: “See Me in everything. Surrender yourself to Me. Do all actions for my sake. Cut off all sorts of attachments. Have perfect unswerving devotion to Me. Medical camp (February 2, 2016 - February 8, 2016)

A week long  Medical camp was organized by Jai Bhagwan Trust under the leadership of Sri Navneet Vyas. It was inaugurated by H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj.  A team of seven experts of  Acupressure Treatment (for chronic pain syndrome) worked to teach others and provided treatments to needy during the camp. services. More than 1800 patients received  treatment and found various degrees of pain relief of their ailing problems and about 250 enthusiastic volunteers were taught the technique. Among them, there are a few devotees of  Sivananda Ashram, who learned. The camp was a huge success.

Since then, one more service added at Sivananda Health clinic at the Ashram by the certified volunteers who learned this Acupressure Treatment.  On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday free acupressure treatment has been started and on Saturday late evening all acupressure healers group makes their weekly refreshing program.

On the concluding day of the camp, Pujya Swami Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj honored Sri Guruji, Navneetbhai Vyas and awarded him a title of  "Seva Bharati Ratna".  People were benefited and they all appreciated this program very much.

On Feb 27, 2016  "Sri Swami Chidananda Memorial Lecture" was organized in the evening at Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad. H. E. Governor of  Nagaland and Assam, Sri Padmanabha Acharya (86 years) was the special guest. He spoke on length all about National Integration, Unity in diversity.  Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj illustrated the Life of Gurudev Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj and portrayed the very spirit of Sri Swamiji Maharaj as a lover of Mother India. H E. Governor joined for the dinner at the Ashram also. 

Youth program continues (Feb 28, 2016)

As a part of Chidananda Birth Centenary Celebration,  Elocution contest was organized for students from all the Universities of Gujarat. After screening from various levels, about 120 boys and girls participated in the contest. Competition continued from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. Best first three and best college were presented cash prize of Rs.7500,  Rs.5100 and Rs.3100.  Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj motivated the youth for valued based education. Program was co-coordinated by Sri Arun Oza, a trustee and Dr. Chirag Pandya, a member of Board of Management.
 

Services & Seva Projects: Followings are some of the areas in which the ashram has been working to make the difference in people's life.

"Manav Seva, Madhav Seva" has been the guiding principle for whoever has been associated and working at the ashram. The Holy Master Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj used to take the great pleasure in serving one and all and the tradition continues. The Sivananda Ashram is very active in providing the services to the  poor and the sick in the society.

Project Manav Seva : Project Manav Seva is an extensive program that focuses on holistically helping the needy and indigent population. Project Manav Seva has been carried out by the Bhagwan Shri Vishwanath Mahadev Seva Kendra, Sivanand Ashram, Ahmedabad for the last thirty years years and continues to grow by leaps and bounds in the advancement of current programs which address the alleviation of human suffering. The ultimate goal of this program is to further spiritual growth for both those served and those providing service while simultaneously making a difference in people’s lives.

• Free nutrition programs, including provisions for food for the hungry 3rd of each month and Monthly distributing grains to the needy families

• Ongoing free health clinics providing comprehensive health check-ups and treatments through Homeopathic and Naturopathy Clinics. Individualized rehabilitation programs.

• Reiky Teaching - The Usui System of Natural Healing is a Holistic Method of treatment.

• Yoga and meditation camps

• Corrective surgeries for those afflicted with cataracts, strokes, through our medical team's help. Women's sawing classes periodically being arranged

• Nurturing of spiritual enlightenment through periodicals and book publications

• Efforts to alleviate human suffering in the event of natural calamities

• Develop structures to facilitate all of the above services

H.H. Pujya Swami Adhyatmanandaj's Satsang programs & Tours during the month of February 2016

Bhimpura, Chandod (Feb 3, 2016 - Feb 7,  2016) : Sri Sri Maa Anandamayi Maa’s Bhimpura Ashram celebrated its eighth annual ‘Samyam Saptah’. Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj participated in it for last the last five days.

Gandhinagar(Feb 12, 2016): A grand gathering of saints and sages was organized at Sri Dholeshwar Mahadev, Gandhinagar. Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj graced the occasion.

Vaso - Roon, Nadiyad(Feb 13, 2016): Sri Pankaj Patel of Arts and Commerce College Vaso (Nadiad) invited Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj for Sri Motibhai Amin Memorial lecture. Tree plantation was organized also.

Karnal (Feb 15, 2016 - Feb 17, 2016)  Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj arrived at New Delhi airport and reached Karnal , Haryana by road drive. Late in the evening a grand function was organized jointly by Bharat Vikas Parishad, Karnal Yoga Kendra and Vedant Mandal Karnal at Golden Retreat. Sri Swamiji's inspiring speech on the subject of  Our moral duties towards the nation was well received by a large assembly. Function was followed with grand dinner. At Karnal Sri Swamiji was scheduled for various programs including address at educational organizations and many different satsang groups.

Yamunanagar (Feb 17, 2016): At Yamunanagar Sri Swami Maharaj attended inauguration ceremony arranged by Vasudeva family and satsang with Sri Ramcharit Manas Gyan Mandal arranged by at Sri Alakh family.

Chandigarh (Feb 18, 2016 - Feb 20, 2016) Dr.Nirmal Dharam Veerji and Sri. Mehendirattas organized  Sri Swamiji's satsang  program here.

Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Ambala, Gurgaon (Feb 20, 2016 - Feb 25, 2016): Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj visited core of Punjab. Swamiji's programs were filled with satsang, small and big groups, home satsang  He opened new industries of Mr. Govil Repan. He addressed a large group of devotees of Guru Bhagwan Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj at Ambala. At late night Swamijji arrived at Delhi.

Lucknow (Feb 26, 2016) Dr. Renu, Dr. Rajesh Kashyap and Mr. and Mrs. Rajneesh Kashyap had lost their beloved mother on 26th  morning. Sri Swamiji rushed to the family and prayed for the departed soul. His presence brought solace to the bereaved family members.

Ahmedabad : Achala Education Foundation organized a day long symposium. H.E. Governor of Gujarat Sri. Om Prakash Kohli, Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj and Sri. P.K. Lehari addressed the concluding session.
