The month of February was highlighted with the grand  Shivaratri  Utsav, Spiritual Retreat & Acupressure treatment camp here at the Ashram.  

Acupressure Treatment camp (Feb 6, 2018 - Feb 12, 2018) six days camp for free teaching and Acupressure treatment was organized at Sivananda Ashram with the courtesy of Sri Jai Bhagwan Trust of Mumbai. Guruji Sri Navnitbhai Shah with his team of six teachers and a few experts in the field of Acupressure treatment organized the entire program. 130 candidates were given practical knowledge of how to treat patients. And more than 1200 patients received free service and they all were grateful of this wonderful seva offered at Sivananda Ashram.

This Acupressure camp was concluded with the blessings of H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj on Feb 12, 2018 . All teachers from Mumbai and ashram authorities were given special honor for their selfless service. Program concluded with half an hour entertainment program by Sri Dinker Mehta and a peace prayer for world peace.

 Spiritual Retreat ( Feb 10, 2018 - Feb 12, 2018) Three days Sadhana Shibir was organized at Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad. Forenoon session used to commence at 10.00 am. and continued up to 12.30 pm in which Sivananda Ashram prayer and Geeta chanting was organized. Smt. Rupa Majmudar gave a talk all three days and shared the life and teachings of Gurudev Sri Swami Sivanandaji and Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj. In the afternoon session, Sri Vishnu Sahasranam chanting and guided meditation conducted by Miss Sangeeta Thawani. Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj gave discourses and enlightened the seekers with HIS wisdom sharing. Evenings prayers and chanting at night satsang concluded the day.

Shivaratri Festival : Feb 13, 2018 - Feb 14, 2018)  Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad celebrated Holy Shivratri festival with great enthusiasm and devotion. Vedik Hymns and chants of "OM Namah Shivaya" filled the air with Divine vibrations. Holy Shri Vishwanath Temple was agog with worship of Lord Shiva. Pujya Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj offered a first pooja & Abhishek at 3.45 am. It started with Shodshopachar Pujan at 3.45 am and continued until the next day 4.00 am. Continuous flow of devotees came to the Lord Vishvanath Temple to pray and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva – who is considered Ashutosh. The Siva Lingam was worshipped by washing it with milk, curd, honey and rose water as the chants of Vedic Hymns, Namakam, Chamakam, Rudram, Ashtadhyaayi Rudra, Purushasuktam in praise of Lord Shiva. Shiva Lingam was adorned with special Shringar, Bilva leaves. Bilva leaves are believed to be very sacred and considered the best offering to Lord Shiva. There is a strong belief that sincere worship of Lord Shiva on the auspicious day of Shivaratri, absolves person of sins and liberates him from the cycle of birth and death. Devotees in  large numbers sat in front of the temple in grandly decorated Pandal. Bhakti Sangeet (Devotional Songs) in praise of the Lord through out the night by outstanding singers namely Dr.Vasavda with his Hatkesh Swar Gunjan group, Smt. Dr. Monica Shah of Aradhana School and Tabla master Nakul Maharaj, Pandit Sri Nirajchandra Parikh  and Ami Devi brought a special fervor to already charged atmosphere. Next day morning on Feb 14, 2018 a grand mahaprasad was served to the thousands of devotees at the ashram and Narayan seva in the form of food offering to the needy in the evening.

Satsang & Programs of H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj during the Month of January 2018

On Feb 1, 2018 Anupam Mission celebrated its first anniversary of new temple at Ahmedabad as well as Upasana Griha. Honoring humble invitation, Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj graced the occasion. In his sharing, he said, “ Never think that this idols are made of marble. Yes, they were made of marble but we have done "Pran-Pratishtha" last year. Having worshiped throughout the year, now they are alive. It is all by keeping palm upon their heart,  feel the heart beats and experience the breath, walk here with dignity as we are in very presence of God Himself".

Spiritual Retreat at Bhimpura (Chandod) Feb 2, 2018 to Feb 7, 2018 : Sri Sri Maa Anandamayi Maa’s Gujarat ashram at Bhimpura (Chandod ), annual Samyam Saptah (Spiritual Discipline week) was celebrated from Jan 31, 2018  to Feb 7, 2018. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj attended it from Feb 2, 2018 to Feb 7, 2018 as per kind request of H. H. Sri Swami Achyutanandaji Maharaj International President, Sri Sri Ma Anandamayi Sangh, Haridwar Sri Swamiji Maharaj gavediscorses on "Gopika Geetam" from Sri holy Bhagvatam. On 7th February, 100th birth anniversary of H. H. Sri Swami Bhashkarananddaji was celebrated with Ati Rudra Yajna and Bhandara.

 H.H. Sri Swami Achyutanandaji Maharaj also graced Sivananda Ashram. On their way,  they had brief visit and home satsang at "Adhyatam" a residence of Dr. Mrugank and prema Merchant.

On Feb 11, 2018 Sola Bhagavat Vidyapeeth, Ahmedabad - Sri Rang Pariwar is celebrating Sri Rang Avadhootji Maharaj’s 50th Aradhana festival through out the year. Part of this year-long program, 50 hours Sri Rang Nam Sankirtan was organized at Sri Rang Temple, Bhagavat Vidyapeeth at Sola compound. Sri Swami Adhytmanandaji Maharaj lit the lamp and commenced the chant of  Datta Namsankirtan  which continued up to the morning of Feb 13t Mornning.
 

Feb 18, 2018 Sola Bhagavat Vidyapeeth, Ahmedabad : All Gujarat Brahman Samaj, Ahmedabad organized Yajnopavit Sanskar (Thread Ceremony ) for 108 children at Sola Bhagavat Vidyapeeth, Ahmedabad. H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj graced the occasion. In his blessing, he said, " be regular in your Gayatri Japa Sadhana. Learn Sandhya Vandan. Let your morning and evening be filled with this spiritual practice. You will shine, you will prosper ! Your memory will become sharp. You will be extra ordinary bright student initially and than an ideal citizen"

Feb 25, 2018 : Learning Clinical School for mentally challenged children celebrated it’s annual function at famous Mehandi Nawaz Hall. Rev. Sri Swami Maharaj graced the occasion. Sri Swamiji said, “ to keep handicapped children at home is a big problem for parents but, here to keep so many kids itself is a great austerity. It’s a TAPAS.” Swamiji congratulated organizers for their noble service to needy and Service to mankind.

Advanced YTTC ( Feb 22, 2018 - March 13, 2018):  YTTC for Advanced yoga student has commenced from Feb 22, 2018 and will conclude on March 13, 2018.
