The Sivananda Ashram is very active in providing the services to the  poor and the sick in the society. "Manav Seva,  Madhav Seva" has been the guiding principle for whoever has been associated and working at the ashram. The Holy Master Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj used to take the great pleasure in serving one and all and the tradition continues.

 

Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad has taken up the "Project READ" for underprivileged & needy children of Rural area of Gujarat. It is an extensive program running for over fifteen years that focuses on providing educational aid to the underserved children in the form of distributing Slates, Blackboards, chalk, Chalk Eraser pads to junior grade students (of 1st through 4th grade) and notebooks of 150 & 200 pages to higher grade students (of 5th through 12th grade). Ashram's KarmaYoga team is doing wonderful work in coordinating, distributing and funding for this project. Also, many thanks to the selfless workers at various centers who goes to schools and make it possible to reach to the needy children.

The continuation of such comprehensive programs has been possible only because of the unstinting devotion and generous financial assistance provided by selfless devotees of the Lord.

This year about 1,25, 0000 notebooks are planned to be distributed free through various centers of Divya Jivan Sanskrutik Sang of Gujarat. 

 

The current COVID Pandemic has adversely impacted the livelihood and sustainability of countless workers, laborers and rural poor families. So this kind gesture will at least do not deprive education to their school-going children. In this crisis, it is our sacred duty to extend gracious and generous help with a kind heart to extend educational support to such needy, aspiring radiant divine children.

 

In this critical period, Gujarat Divya Jivan Sangh and Shri Divya Jivan Sanskrutik Sangh is determined to spread the educational services on a wider scale. We shall be providing educational books, note-books and essential study materials etc. to needy children of impacted families for continuing their education in schools. In order to fulfill this mega mission, we sincerely appeal to extend your generous financial support.

 

These notebooks are specially designed to develop radiant personality of divine students which carry an inspirational message to the children from Shri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. It contains Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation benefits to promote physical & mental health of students, to instill Indian wisdom, moral values besides to boost memory power and character-building prayers, chants and messages.

 

Like every year, the notebooks will be printed with cover page picture of H. H Shri Swami Sivananda Maharaj and H. H Shri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj and will include, Prayer to Goddess Saraswati, Universal Prayer, Maha Mrutyunjaya Mantra with meaning, Song of 18Ities as character building formula,  Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation guidance and instructions  & Healthy and Nutritional Vegetarian diet values etc.
