Radiant Immortal Divinity!

Most Respected and blessed children of divine! 

In the name of Allah, Ahurmazda, Jehowah, Zande avasta, Waheguru, Satnam, Jesus, Moses, Buddha, Mahavir, Sri Ram, Krishna, Durga, Kali or Ganesh!  He who is father in the heaven; He who is light of the light, Joy of the joy, the supreme blessedness. May He bless us all! May His divine grace be ever upon all of us! May we love each other!  May we understand each other,  respect each other! May we all have mutual love, affection and reverence for each other is my sincere prayer!

Most Revered Sir Stanliaus Fernandez, Arch Bishop, Revered Dr. Syed Zafar Mahmood, the President, Interfaith Coalition for peace, Respected Prof. Dr. M.T Cherian, Revered Sir Silvans Christian the bishop, His grace Dr. Geeverghese Mar Yulios, Fr. Dr. Pakiam Samuel, Revered Brahmakumariji and other all learned scholar’s and holy-men and women on the dais as well as in the audience, my salutations and prostrations unto thee.

Today is the Hindu New Year. The first day of Chaitra month of Hindu calendar, I wish you all a Happy New Year and pray for thy excellent health, long life, peace, joy and illumination. May you all shine, prosper, rejoice in the Lord and abide in supreme blessedness! I feel great honor to declare this conference open. May this day bring harmony between man and man! May this day bring understanding of real meaning and sense of religion ! They say religion is relinking, it brings heart together, it brings persons together, it is an equilibrium, balance, harmony and eternity. There is a famous saying that “Ekam sat vipra Bahudha Vadanti”. Truth is one which is known to learned people by different names and forms.

Let me put the truth in very simple way. In our India we all love Chinese food and Maxican food, Italian pizza, pasta, noodles and western world has developed the test for Indian cousins then why don’t we have tolerance for other religions, where is the problem for my God and your God. The sun is only one, it is not the European Sun or American sun or Indian Sun or African Sun. Same Sun is shining everywhere, same soil, water and even we are breathing same air. We don’t have cloth for your sky and my sky. The real religion is not the dogma of temple, church, mosque or singing. It is not the ringing of the bell or blowing of gong! It’s love for each other, it’s truth, non-violence, purity and character.

My master Sri Swami Sivananda says that religion stands for these eighteen qualities.

“Serenity, Regularity, Absence of Vanity, Sincerity, Simplicity, Veracity, Equanimity, Fixity, Non-irritability, Adaptability, Humility, Tenacity, Integrity, Nobility, Magnanimity, Charity, Generosity, Purity.”Practice daily these eighteen ‘ities’. You will soon attain immortality.

Let’s all strive and struggle for human relations. No Christian children are born with cross in the neck, no Muslim kids with sunnat or sikh children with kada or kripan or Hindu kids with sikha or sutra, they all are born as a human. Hence humanity is the only real religion. What is this HUMANITY? I’ll tell you sir….!

We had very bad earth quake in the foot hill of Himalay from Uttarkashi to Gangotri, we supplied their essential grocery, cloth’s and all possible needs to establish them again to revive their lively hood. My master Revered Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj supplied them ‘Bidi’ (kind of local cigarate). Why? Because he knew that person in that mountain area of Garhwal can survive without member of their departed family but he can’t survive without this country cigar-Bidi. Let us try to understand and think in the manner that how other person is thinking, then there will be light and eternity will variedly blossom there.

Once we are in Puttur (In Karnataka, south India). A grand procession was taking us across the city. People kept on making halt in front of all temples and presented them offering of flowers, fruits, cloths and charity. My master Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj asked me to purchase 5 meter green color silk cloth, and essential offering for the mosque and with surprise to everyone He requested to stop the procession in front of mosque, where I was asked to go inside with covering my head and offer this silken green cloth, fruits, flowers, charity etc., the very next day newspaper highlighted this gesture, why to surprise? What is difference between Allah and God? Why one Hindu monk can’t say “Allah Hu” it’s not difficult.

Once, I was in Thiruvananthapuram. It was evening hour for temple service in Sri Ganesh Temple, which was sharing it’s shoulder with the mosque. Unfortunately just at the time of evening service ‘Shoes’ started pouring from the mosque. There was hue and cry in the temple. But chief priest made all people calm, he collected all shoes and footwear and took it to the mosque, where one young kid was enjoying this throw of footwear from mosque to the temple. Temple priest handed over basketful of footwear to the head of the mosque with smiling face and chief of mosque asked for the pardon for the lapse of innocent kid, who was throwing their shoes and matter was over. Peace prevailed. There were chances of communal riots. Some rowdy people always wait for such incidents to create chaos. But the head priest of the Ganesh temple was really a man of sense and digested the purpose and meaning of religion, hence a great havoc was terminated.

Thus religion is not the ritual but a vision. Whenever you see, for decoration big branches of the trees, leaves and flower being hanged on the stage, how do you feel? Have you ever seen meat market? They hang chicken and goats, when you cut the trees do you feel for them? Religion is love, love from the heart, simplicity, humbleness, nobleness and commitment can only lead towards the real purpose of religion.

Sikh saint ‘GURU NANAK’ on His visit to holy Mecca and Madina, resting one mid-day stretching his legs towards the holy “CABA”of Mecca, some people objected it, most humbly he said “Oh, sorry! Please lift my legs, where Holy CABA is not there and every one with great surprise realized that Caba was everywhere. God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. God is not divided in the east or the west. What one needs to live is real religious way of life; love all; Hate none. Serve and love, Give and purify, pray fervently. Prayer is not demanding anything. Prayer links the individual self to the cosmic self. Cheer yourself in all conditions. His grace is always there to embrace you. May you abide in Him. May His divine grace be ever upon all. May peace and bliss be everywhere. May God bless you all. Thanks for thy time you all have spent with me. My address to the supreme the Almighty Lord who is existing in all of you and all your divine present.

Let me sum up my sharing with universal prayer by my worshipful master Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj

“O Adorable Lord of Mercy and Love!

Salutations and prostrations unto Thee.

Thou art Omnipresent, Omnipotent and Omniscient.

Thou art Satchidananda

(Existence-Consciousness-Bliss-Absolute.)

Thou art the Indweller of all beings.

Grant us an understanding heart,

Equal vision, balanced mind,

Faith, devotion and wisdom.

Grant us inner spiritual strength

To resist temptations and to control the mind.

Free us from egoism, lust, greed, hatred, anger and jealousy.

Fill our hearts with divine virtues.

Let us behold Thee in all these names and forms.

Let us serve Thee in all these names and forms.

Let us ever remember Thee.

Let us ever sing Thy glories.

Let Thy name be ever on our lips.

Let us abide in Thee for ever and ever”.

Gurunanak addressed himself as “NANAKDAS”. The great saint of south India said “I’m servant’s, servant’s servant”. The holy prophet Saint Francis of Assisi said “be humble, be noble, be simple”. The holy prophet Lady Rubia said “keep with the self, He is not in many but in the pure mind”. Thus seek the peace, you will get the peace, give peace you will receive the peace. Peace is our real nature. Peace is our real form. Our soul's nature is “BLISS-BLISS-BLISS-ABSOLUTE”.
