To celebrate Christmas is to celebrate Christ Consciousness or God
Consciousness.

“Through Christmas realize the Christ-consciousness and the
radiant light of Atmic (divine) Wisdom. Amen.”- Swami Sivananda

“A superman is a temple enshrining the superhuman Spirit. When
God thinks through man, we call him a superman. Such was Christ,
Buddha and Krishna.” “We have to contemplate daily the mystery of
creation, the majesty of God, the greatness of spiritual life, the
stupendousness of Yoga and the glorious consummation that is ahead
of us which is supreme Liberation, Christ-Consciousness or
God-realization.”   Swami Krishnanada

“Learning to perceive the hidden Divinity pervading this
apparently material universe, let us be able to live, move and
have our being in God. Let us be able to recognize that here and
now is the Kingdom of God.”- Swami Chidananda

An Incidence From H. H. Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj's Life
Swamiji's consideration extends even to the world of plants. On the
Mahasivaratri Day when devotees in the Ashram go to collect "Bilva Patra"
for the worship of the Lord Siva, he advises them not to proceed towards the
tree with an upraised axe, for the tree would be terrified. They are to
approach the tree tenderly, even meekly, and beg for the leaves, as it were.
The plucking must be done with tenderness, love and devotion.
